Decisions of a Lady
1. I DECIDE to flee sinful lusts. I will endeavour to keep my thoughts pure. I will not be lazy and allow my mind to wander. I will keep my body pure. I will not give my body to be used by any man other than my husband. I will not entertain even an unnecessary touch. I make a covenant with my eyes to avoid lustful look.
2. I DECIDE to avoid all suggestive pictures, stories, talks, comments, jokes and even gestures. I will avoid such persons and places that may lead me to sin. I will ask the Lord for grace daily morning and take time to search myself and confess my sins wholeheartedly every night. I will accept sin as sin and not deceive myself by giving it a different name. I will obey my conscience and keep it sharp.
3. I DECIDE to bury the past and not allow satan to condemn me over my forgiven sins. I will not be crying over spilt milk and waste my time and energy, rather I will encourage myself in the Lord and become better everyday. I will examine my sin to find out what led me to fall in it and avoid such situations at all cost in the future.
4. I DECIDE to sever any unholy relationship though it may look as important as my right eye. I will trust the Lord to take care of the consequences. I will not deceive myself to continue the relationship rather deal with me strictly. When I find no deliverance and fear I will fall in sin I will seek spiritual help from a senior and trusted woman.
5. I DECIDE not to tempt any man to sin. I will dress decently and will be careful about my movements with him. If I sense that he is interested in me I will pray for him and help him out by avoiding him, caring the less if he is offended by my neglect of him. I will avoid being alone with him.
6. I DECIDE to maintain a respectable distance with my friend’s husband. I will not defraud my friend in this matter. I will entertain them together eventhough the husband is better known to me. I will avoid provoking his wife to jealousy.
7. I DECIDE to be an example to believers in purity. I will sacrifice anything which is an offence to them though I may not consider it a sin. I will earn a good testimony from the Lord as well as men. I will see that even doubtful areas cannot be spotted in my character. I will accept counsel with meekness.
8. I DECIDE not to run away from the situation when another woman enters my life. I will not be blaming, condemning and criticising my husband, rather deal very wisely and help him come out of the sin. I will not be ignorant of the evil women around me and realise that I am a protection to my husband. I will be harmless as a dove and wise as a serpent. I will forgive his past sins and obey and respect him as ever. I will not use his failure as a trumpcord.
9. I DECIDE to see any minister of God as a fallible human being and not an angel. I will avoid developing a personal relationship with him. My letters to him shall be to the point.
10. I DECIDE to keep holiness as my motto and always remember that the holier a woman the more she is a woman. “Many daughters have done virtuously”—but my goal will be to excel them all!
