A man wanted to see the butterfly emerge out of a cocoon. So when he saw a cocoon hanging under a leaf, he just sat there observing it. After some days the cocoon broke open at one end and the butterfly started to come out with great struggle through the small opening. It struggled and struggled for hours. The man lost his patience and brought a scissors and made the opening a wee bit bigger.
Now the butterfly was able to quickly come out. But how sad! It had small wings and a fat body. It could not fly. It pathetically crawled around as an ugly creature. The man realized his folly. He understood that it is when the butterfly comes out through the small hole struggling, that the fluid in its body nurtures the wings and the full butterfly takes shape.
If we don’t want to undergo any struggle in life, we won’t be able to fly.
