A king was looking for an honest girl for his son. He cared the less for beauty. He invited all the prospective girls in his kingdom to take part in a contest. All were given a bean seed to grow. The girl with the tallest plant would marry the prince.
The girls were all excited. They planted the seed in the pot given by the king and took extreme care of it. On the said day they all assembled with their pots with lushy growth. One girl was very sad. Her pot was empty. The king came and looked around.
“What happened to your plant?” asked the king to the weeping girl. “Sir, my seed never grew. There must be some mistake,” she said, wiping her tears. “No mistake, you shall be my son’s bride,” laughed the king. “We gave all of you fried seeds. You all,
except this girl, tried to cheat me by putting in other seeds or plants.”
Never cheat anyone.
