So all the applicants assembled in a hall. The minister asked all the applicants to come to the centre of the hall and dance. All except one sat tight. Only one man came to the middle and jumped and swirled and danced.
The minister said, “Select this man. He is honest.” “How do you know?” asked the king. “I had arranged for all these men to come to this hall through a dark passage. On both sides of the passage were open sacks full of gold coins. Others refused to dance because they were afraid the gold coins they tucked in may jingle or fall off.” The king promptly hired the man who danced .
