A teacher gave a sack of paddy to each of his three disciples and went on a furlough for a year. One disciple opened the bag and was happy to see the grains. He took it to the mill and processed it and started eating it. In a short while it was gone.
Another disciple kept the sack in the store room for safe-keeping till the teacher returned. The third one was overjoyed to see the grain. He took it to the field and sowed. He tended the crop and in due time got a hundred sacks full of grain.
When the teacher returned, the two disciples were ashamed. The teacher was proud of the wise disciple. He honoured him and promoted him.
