Minnie went blind at the tender age of two. Her mother was her constant companion. She would describe to her the beautiful world, the lovely roses, the emerald leaves and the azure skies.
At age ten, an eye surgeon decided to try a risky operation in her eyes. The operation was succ- essful. She was taken to the garden and the bandage over her eyes was removed. Minnie screamed with delight looking at the colourful world around her. Looking at her mummy she exclaimed, “Mummy, this is a million times better than what you told me.”
Yes. John the apostle tried to explain heaven in the Bible with his limited vocabulary. But when we get to heaven, we’ll find it ten thousand times ten thousand better than what we have ever seen or heard.
