Hundreds of years ago there was a king in Africa. He had a daughter. Everybody praised her beauty. All said she looked lovely and fair. At that time there were no mirrors in Africa. So the princess thought she was indeed pretty.
Once a team of explorers visited her place. They gave her a mirror as a gift and explained to her how it would reflect her appearance. After they left she ran into her room, opened the box and took out the mirror. For the first time in her life she looked at her face. And what do you think she did? She threw the mirror in anger and broke it.
Sometimes we are dec- eived by the praises of people. The Bible is the mirror that portrays us exactly as we are. If we accept what the Bible says about us and keep changing according to its counsel our ugly appearance will gradually change to become like Jesus and we will become pretty princesses and handsome princes of God.
