Vishnu was correctly answering the questions. “Who was the Prime Minister of India, born on October 2nd?” When mother asked, Vishnu jumped, “Mahatma Gandhi.” “Look, look. That’s where you erred. Mahatma Gandhi was a freedom fighter. His birthday was October 2nd but he was not the Prime Minister of India. When you saw ‘October 2nd’ immediately you wrote without thinking,” chided mother. “Aha” said Vishnu.
“Which is the bird that sucks honey?” mother questioned. “Butterfly,” answered Vishnu excitedly. “Wrong, wrong; butterfly is not a bird, it belongs to the insect category. You should have written honey-bird,” corrected mummy.
“You must read the questions carefully, more than once, and only then answer. Then you won’t make a mistake,” advised mother. Vishnu nodded his head in agreement.
If we are careful in whatever we do we will be excellent in our work.
