A rich man had a palanquin to go out. He had workers to carry the palanquin. He had a very costly pet dog. It was a friendly, grateful dog. He loved the dog very much.
One day the dog was lost! The rich man searched for it all over his house and garden but could not find it. He called his palanquin bearers and said, “May be the dog followed me when I went out into the town yesterday. Search all over the town for the
dog.”
They said, “Our job is to carry the palanquin. Searching for the dog is not our job. Please make some other arrangement for it.” “O.K,” said the rich man and sat in his palanquin. “You carry the palanquin, I’ll search for the dog,” he said.
The servants breathlessly carried the man all over the town till the dog was found. They wished they had gone in search of the dog.
Consider any job as your job.
