Long, long ago, an elephant and an ant were thick friends. The elephant used to make fun of the ant saying, “Look at you, tiny fellow. Anybody can crush you. Look at me, how strong and big I am.” The ant used to be very patient. In course of time, the ant developed an inferiority complex. He always started thinking, “I am useless. I am worthless, I look ugly. No one likes me. I don’t like to live in this world. I wish I die soon,” and so on.
One day both of them were standing on a mountaintop and chatting. As usual, the elephant taunted the ant calling him an ugly little creature. Just then an earthquake struck. Both of them were thrown off the cliff. The elephant rolled down the slope and fell down with a thud. The ant went up in the air, came down and landed lightly.
The ant ran to the elephant and checked. He had broken many bones. The ant called the ambulance and took him to the hospital. The ant said, “I am glad I am an ant and not an elephant.”
Never allow others to belittle you and make you feel inferior. Be happy as you are.
