Miracles in my life
Reading: Judges 6:13-16
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever” (Heb 13:8)
I was born as a very sick child and my parents almost gave up on me. Against all odds I survived but became a severe asthmatic. Because of good grades I easily got a seat in M.B.B.S. and D.C.H.
As a young girl I used to wander the forests of Kodaikanal. Once a lady who was picking firewood told me to go to the road and walk because there was an army of soldiers up the hill. At the age of sixteen I wondered, “So what?” but decided to take her advice. Today I think it was definitely an angel who guided me.
Our daughter had a stormy arrival. Her right harm nerves were severed, clavicle broken and eye injured when doctors tried to take her out to save me. She threw fits at the age of three months. Doctors said her harm would not recover and she’d be mentally retarded. Today she is a counselor and helping her father in ministry fulltime. Her arm recovered partially and she now uses bothe arms. At age ten she was diagnosed for brain tumour. After an ordeal of three months, she suddenly became alright.
At age 28 my blood sugar was found to be very high. I cried. I went on a diet without medication, After eight years my blood sugar touched normal and till today it remains normal (age 72).
Once we were all enjoying the Cape Comerin ocean view. When all went for breakfast I decided to stay back to enjoy the sunrise. I walked over the rocks into the sea and sat on a big rock taking in the panorama. Suddenly a terrible force pushed me down and I sank. When I opened my eyes all was green. I groped and felt a sharp conical rock and locked my hands over it. The next minute a giant wave pulled me back with the force of a hundred demons. When the wave was gone I found myself at the bottom of the rock I was sitting on. I quickly climbed over and reached the shore.
Once we were travelling in Odisha by van. On a hilly road we found a man lying on the hot sun. I asked the van to be stopped. We found he was hungry and thirsty. We fed him. When we asked him if he knew Jesus, he said, “He is the King of kings and Lord of lords.” We gave him some money and put him in a bus. Night I realized it was my birthday and remembered that I had casually told God, “Lord, I want to see You.” The Lord whispered in my heart, “It’s your birthday and I came to see you.”
