All the stars in your sky have fallen because the boy with whom you were going steady has suddenly said ‘No’ to you. Like a drooping flower you are going about your duties without life. Don’t worry, God was also a jilted lover when Israel left Him to serve other gods. He can understand your feelings. May be you are thinking that you will never trust any man again or you will never fall in love again or even to end your life.
Don’t take any rash decisions. The sky has not fallen. A boy who could not keep his promise, who could not be faithful to you, is not worth marrying. I know it is not easy to come out of the gloom but I assure you, by and by the cloud will lift and the sun will start shining again in your life.
Many girls think that it is a sin to think of one man and marry another. No, if your lover leaves you, it is not your fault. You must learn to recover. The world is big and wide. Lift up your eyes and see. You will meet other young men. Your parents will bring better proposals. You must marry the person of your choice. Wait for God’s will and be praying.
Put the past behind you. It is not necessary to give all the details of your past relationship to the man you are going to marry. If you feel it is necessary you can brief him about your past. Sharing details is not going to help anyone. Do not keep feeling guilty. Pour your emotions at the Lord’s feet and get up. Then refuse to think about the past.
God has promised us a peace that the world cannot give. Appropriate it. Put away any hatred against the boy who jilted you and forgive him wholeheartedly. That’s the way to bloom again. Do not throw away your life for a silly reason like love failure. It is not as serious as you think if you trust in the Lord and learn to recover. Do not be pining after the one who left you. He is no more yours. Gradually wean yourself from being obsessed with thoughts about him.
Get busy with your work. Do not give place to depression. Look for happiness elsewhere and be engaged in social activities. Soon you will find the love of your life.
