“God created mankind in His own image, in the image of God
He created them; male and female He created them ... God blessed them ... and it was very good” (Gen 1:27-31)
Woman was not God’s after-thought. The idea of creating a woman was in His original plan. He did a wonderful job of creating her and blessed her and saw it was very good. Eve became the mother of all living. Even if you want a boy child, only a woman can do it. If I live another life, I would like to be born as a woman only. Why?
God, the master Planner, decided to make me as a woman and I know He never makes mistakes. If He wanted me to be a woman, He will give me the grace to live the life of a woman. Women are called as “weak” vessels. Yet the world cannot run without them. Imagine a world without women! The human race will come to an end. How wise God was to create woman!
Whenever I feel I am only a woman, God tells me: Don’t say that. “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” So what do I do? I am happy I am a weak vessel so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. When I am weak, then I am strong (2 Cor 12:10). “Let the weakling say, ‘I am strong’ ” (Joel 3:10). We are foolish, yet we are wise (1 Cor 1:19).
Dear child, dear teenager, dear woman, don’t ever try to be a man. Fit yourself in God’s plan for your life, and you will find yourself strong to do what He purposes to accomplish through you. You may be a student, wife, mother or grandmother. Rejoice that God is working through you. It may look insignificant in your eyes but only eternity can measure your contribution to the world.
Mary lived as a poor woman, gave birth to Jesus and died as a poor woman. But look at her donation to us! Keep yourself at the centre of God’s will whatever may be your age and you will rejoice at the end of your life that you were a woman. Thank and praise God that He created you as a woman.
Don’t you worry; all the believing “men” will become the “bride” of Christ on the last Day!
