A Brahman was walking through a jungle. He saw a tiger trapped in a cage. The tiger pleaded, “Please let me out.” The Brahman was afraid and said, “You are very hungry. If I release you, you will eat me up.” But the tiger gave his word of honor that he would never do that. The Brahman then opened the door of the trap and let the tiger out. The tiger caught the Brahman and said, “I am terribly hungry. I have no other go but to eat you.” The Brahman started shouting for help.
A fox came there and asked what the matter was. The Brahman told his plight and the tiger described its hunger pangs. Who was right they asked. The fox thought for a minute and said to the tiger, “I want to first of all see how you were.” The tiger stepped inside the cage and said, “This is how I was.” The fox immediately locked the trap door and told the Brahman, “This is what ungrateful people deserve.”
Don’t be ungrateful. Be grateful to those who help you.
