It was Jan’s third birthday. Parents were very busy from morning. Father was ordering the birthday cake when Jan came running, crying, “Daddy, daddy...” “Go and play son. Daddy is busy” he said and talked over his mobile about the cake. Jan ran to his mother, “Mommy, mommy...” he started. But his mother was busy getting lunch ready for 50 guests. Servants were busy too as they had to decorate the house.
Guests started to arrive and suddenly mummy thought of Jan. “Oh, I must get him ready,” she said and started looking for him. At the time there was great commotion and cries outside the house. As the door was open, Jan had stepped out of the house and was hit by a speeding lorry. He died on the spot.
Christmas is the birthday of Christ. We should not forget Christ and revel in partying, feasting and dressing up. We should go to church on Christmas day and thank God for sending Jesus to save us. We should visit some place and share the Good News about Jesus to some people.
