045 Are you a Nut?
There once was a nut screwed tight to a chair. “I just sit here all the time. What am I doing here? I am so useless. Nobody wants me” thought the nut. Day in and day out the thought tortured him. Finally it decided to run away. It wriggled and wriggled and got loose and fell down under the chair. There it remained.
That evening an important guest visited the home and was shown the chair. When he sat down he crashed and fell on the floor, on the nut. He was hurt and the house owners were embarrassed and the nut itself was injured when the guest and chair fell on its head. The house owner found the nut and screwed him back again tight.
Now the nut realized how important he was. He decided to stay there and do his job faithfully.
We also may think we are useless. But God has put us in a corner to be His useful vessel. Wherever God has put you, be faithfully fulfilling your role. Or else you will be causing harm to others and your own self.
